The tale begins with Somatīrtha, a site of lunar sanctity, and Tuṅgakūṭa, a lofty peak. The holy Skandāśrama, abode of Kartikeya, beckons, followed by Koṭitīrtha, where countless blessings await. Agnipada, touched by the fire’s feet, and Pañcaśikha, resonate with ancient wisdom. Dharmodbhava, where righteousness is born, stands alongside Koṭitīrtha once more, and Bādhapramocana, the place of liberation from obstacles. At Gaṅgādvāra, the gateway to the Ganga, Pañcakūṭa, and Madhyakesara, the journey continues. Cakraprabha, radiant as a discus, and Mataṅga, echoing the sage’s name, are followed by the renowned Kruśadaṇḍa. Damṣṭrākuṇḍa, Viṣṇutīrtha, and Sārvakāmika, the fulfiller of all desires, each hold unique blessings. The holy Matsyatila, the splendid Badarī, Brahmakuṇḍa, Vahnikuṇḍa, and Satyapada, the abode of truth, shine forth. Catuḥsrota, with its four streams, and the majestic Catuḥśṛṅga mountain, crowned with twelve rivers, are revealed, as are Mānasā, Sthūlaśṛṅga, Sthūladaṇḍa, and Urvaśī. Lokapāla, guardian of worlds, Manuvara, Somāhva mountain, Sadāprabha, Merukuṇḍa, and Somābhiṣecana, where the moon is consecrated, enrich the path. Gabhasti Tirtha, Yayati Patana, Shuci, Koti Tirtha, Bhadravata, and the great forest Mahakala are traversed. Another Narmada Tirtha, Vajra, Arbuda, Pingutirtha, Savashishtha, and Prithasangama, the confluence, are visited. Daurvasika, Pinjaraka, Rishi Tirtha, Brahmatunga, Vasu Tirtha, and Kumarika, the maiden’s place, are included. The island of Sarasvata, Vijaya, Kamada, Rudrakoti, Sumanasa, and Sadravanamita, the sacred forest, are included. Syamantapanchaka Tirtha, Brahma Tirtha, Sudarshana, the entire earth always, and Pariplava Prithudaka, the floating lake, are honored. The Tirtha of ten Ashvamedhas, Sarpija, Vishayantika, Koti Tirtha, Panchanada, Varaha, and Yakshini Lake are sanctified. Pundarika, Soma Tirtha, Munjavaṭa, Badarivana, Asina, and Ratnamulaka, the jeweled root, are revered. Lokadvāra, Panchatirtha, Kapila Tirtha, Surya Tirtha, Shankhini, and the abode of cows are visited. Kṣīraśrava, Virūpākṣa, Bhṛgutīrtha, Kuśodbhava, Brahmatīrtha, Brahmayoni, and Nīlaparvata, the blue mountain, are sanctified. Kubjāmbaka, Bhadravaṭa, the seat of Vasiṣṭha, the gate of heaven, the gate of beings, and the hermitage of Kālī are honored. Rudrāvarta, Sugandhāśva, Kapilāvana, Bhadrakarṇa Lake, and Śaṅkukarṇa Lake are included. The seven Sarasvatas, Auśanasa tīrtha, Kapālamocana, Avakīrṇa, and Kāmyaka are sanctified. Catuḥsāmudrika, Śataka, Sahasrika, Reṇuka, Pañcavaṭaka, Vimocana, and Ojas are revered. Sthāṇutīrtha, Kuru’s tīrtha, the gate of heaven, Kuśadhvaja, Viśveśvara, Mānavaka, the well, and Nārāyaṇa’s refuge bring the journey to its culmination.
