It is said that whoever recites this Hanuman Chalisa will surely attain success, for Lord Shiva himself has witnessed its power. Tulsidas, ever devoted, proclaims himself a humble servant of Lord Hari and prays earnestly, asking the Lord to make His dwelling within his heart. Turning to Hanuman, the son of the wind and remover of all distress, the embodiment of auspiciousness, he entreats: together with Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita, please reside in my heart, O Lord of the gods.
