Overview
Dwarka is a coastal town on the Arabian Sea in Gujarat's Devbhumi Dwarka district, on the banks of the Gomti, and is described in legend as the capital of Krishna. It is counted among the seven ancient sacred cities (Sapta Puri), and its Dwarkadhish Temple is the western seat of the Char Dham pilgrimage associated with Adi Shankaracharya.
