Overview
Pandharpur is a town in Maharashtra's Solapur district on the western bank of the Bhima, known locally as the Chandrabhaga. Its Vitthal-Rukmini temple is the centre of the Varkari tradition devoted to Vithoba, and devotees walk to the town in the Wari pilgrimage, most notably for Ashadhi Ekadashi.
